2023 brought with it many big changes with it, that I had been working towards for a lifetime. I have fought for my malamute dream since before it even formally started, but it felt like I ended up in one bad situation after the next. These situations also came with people who hindered what I wanted and dictated how my "kennel" was able to be run, taking many of the choices away from me.
We now own our property and no one will ever be able to control how I run my program again! With that said, Embark testing is done on all potential breeders. Neither of them are of age yet, but when they come of age, OFA testing will be done. I am also now able to complete titling.
The future finally has so much in store! I am still working to bring my site current, but I will eventually get pages done, which will have testing results, etc. In the mean time, I am always happy to talk about my doggos, so anyone is welcome to reach out at any time. Regardless of how far behind I am on my website, I do and always will believe in full transparency!
Here's some other changes going forward
- Breeding Rights / Full Registration will no longer be discussed and there will be no exceptions to this. I appreciate the interest in adding one of my babies to a breeding program, but too many horrible experiences have brought me to this decision.
- AKC Names & Numbers will no longer be publicly posted. This is due to an attempt by someone to obtain fraudulent papers. Proof of registration will still be privately provided and will be included in puppy packs, etc.
- Additional training options will be provided on a limited basis for our puppies
- Video Chat via Facebook will always be available on request
- Visits to our property will be limited. I used to love welcoming people to come visit, but after a puppy buyer came out unplanned and stole two puppies and tried to steal and adult dog of mine, I have to exercise much greater caution. I will readily meet publicly with the parents, etc, and give video tours, etc!
- All puppies will be registered and have their AKC DNA profile completed prior to leaving my care
- All puppies will be individually Embark Tested. Due to the time it takes to process the tests, results might have to be sent later, but testing will take place at around 3 weeks of age. This should allow for results to be ready prior to puppies leaving. Parents results will be available on our Facebook Page, Website (once I have it updated), and at any time via request.
- No Kennels! I hate that various situations necessitated the need for kennels for a few years. As of the end of 2021, when I left the horrible Montana situation, all of my babies are back inside with me! We have a large yard for them to play in, but the door is left open so they can come in and out as they please. They sleep in bed with me, etc. This has made me so happy. I hated having to have most of my babies in kennels - never again!

I'm sure I will add more later - I am always seeking ways to improve. One thing that will never change: if you have questions about our new policies, or questions about anything to do with our breeding, dogs, etc, please never hesitate to reach out! I am always happy to talk with people!
